Community Redevelopment

In Kansas City, MO, Denise led the redevelopment of the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. She led the $5 million restoration of six historic structures adaptively repurposed as affordable housing, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During Denise’s tenure, the Jazz District gained major new investments in mixed-income housing, small businesses, infrastructure, and greenspaces generating over $25 million in economic impact.
